Letter Opposing House Bill 347 and Abortion Restrictions
The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio sent a letter to the Ohio House Health Committee opposing House Bill 347 and any attempt to impose undue burdens or restrictions on an individual’s right to make personal reproductive decisions. This piece of legislation is an attempt to enact Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers, better known as a TRAP law, and would reinstate Ohio’s 24-hour waiting period for abortion care. This would be in direct conflict with Ohio’s Constitution Amendment, The Right to Reproductive Freedom with Protections for Health and Safety.
Letter of Support for Columbus Region N. KNOT BUILD Project
The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio submitted a letter of support for the City of Columbus’s Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) planning grant application for its Network of Knowledge, New Opportunities, and Technology (N. KNOT) project. The N. KNOT BUILD application is essential to help fund the design of regionally significant transportation infrastructure improvements in and around the SR-315 corridor in Columbus, between SR-315’s Medical Center Drive interchange and its Lane Avenue interchange.
