Public News Service: Ohio’s Gender Wage Gap: Women Earn 79 Cents for Every Dollar a Man Earns
“Historically – especially in American culture, but in most cultures – people have been taught that women have qualities that are weaker, that they’re less successful, that they’re less focused. All of that is entirely untrue,” said Kelley Griesmer, president and CEO of The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio. “And the biases are the same on the reverse. Letter in Support of Investments in Child Care in the State Budget
The Women’s Fund signed onto a letter coordinated by Groundwork Ohio to Ohio policymakers encouraging them to increase the accessibility and affordability of child care and support the child care workforce. Announcing our 2023 annual grant partners
The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio is investing $249,000 in the following 19 partner organizations focused on women and girls in Central Ohio. 68% of these partners specifically focus on women and girls of color; 32% are programs that have not been funded by The Women’s Fund before; and 58% support women and girls in counties other than Franklin. The Columbus Dispatch: Women’s Fund of Central Ohio grants $50,000 to women of color groups
